Julep Morgan and China Glaze Glitter Goblin

Hello everyone!  So who is super excited for Halloween?  I know I am and the next few days I will try to share some more festive nails.  Today I have Julep Morgan and China Glaze Glitter Goblin.  The Julep I received in this months Trick or Treat mystery box and the China Glaze I pick up in a four pack Halloween Set at Sally's.

Morgan is a very rich purple with a metallic finish.  Personally, I probably wouldn't wear it by itself but as a base it is awesome.  Application was reasonable with only two coats for full coverage.

Morgan

Next, Glitter Goblin.  This one is part of China Glaze's Halloween line and I am so glad I got my hands on this one.  It is packed with a burnt orange glitter and silver holographic glitter.  Super shiny and goes on great.  I only used one coat in this mani so I think this bottle will last me a long time.

So there you go, simple Halloween nails for when you are in a hurry up and go situation.  I really look forward to seeing all the different Halloweeny nails over the next few days.  I can't wait to see you guys again and hope you all have a wonderful day!

Different Dimension

Hello everyone!  I am super excited to show you guys this new polish I got from Different Dimension.  Took a few weeks but I finally have Horde!  As soon as I saw the limited WoW set, I wanted this one.  This stuff is perfect in every way possible.  Looking back on it I should have bought a back up bottle.

Horde is everything I wanted it to be and more.  Horde is a black jelly base filled with fine holographic glitter and larger red and holographic hexes.  With such an amazing blend and tons of sparkle, I am sure I will wear this one a lot.  Horde was a limited polish that is no longer available but if you see it being sold second hand, buy it!  Trust me, you won't regret it.

Horde

Poor close up, with so many labels it's hard to get a good shot.

Love it!

It took three coats to get this finish.  Next time I'll try it with a black base.

I love it as much as I thought I would.  I also grabbed up a bottle of Murloc that I will be showing you guys soon.  Big thanks to my sister, I used my birthday money she gave me to buy these two plus some cuticle balm from Different Dimension.  Hope you all have a great day and I will see you tomorrow with my pink nails.

Go Pink On Wednesday

Hello everyone! I hope all has been well with you guys. Today I have another set of pink nails for you guys. Today I have went with L'Oreal Penthouse Pink and Rainbow Honey Pinkie Promise. First up is Penthouse Pink.

I bought Penthouse Pink back before Easter for a good pastel pink. The color is exactly that and application is okay. Nothing special but a great base.

Penthouse Pink

Two coats gets a good even coverage.

Next up is Rainbow Honey's Pinkie Promise. I saw tons of hype about this brand and lots of people lusting after this blend so I had to give it a try. I purchased it second hand, it had been used once for swatching and this is a mini bottle. That being said, I HATE this bottle! I wouldn't recommend purchasing the mini form. To me it was a real pain to get enough polish on the brush to do one nail  I had to tip the bottle over every time to get the smallest amount on there  The formula was okay and glitter coverage was great.

You can see the bottle is almost full and was still a nightmare to work with.

This is packed with glitter though.
This was one coat of Pinkie Promise.

This really just reminds me of a 6 years olds princess birthday party.

I was somewhat let down with the Pinkie Promise, I guess the hype had me expecting something amazing. If you like pink and lots of glitter then I say go for it, just buy the full size bottle. I look forward to trying out the 20% Cooler since blue is my favorite color.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening and I look forward to seeing you guys tomorrow I have Different Dimensions tomorrow..... I finally got Horde! Good night!

Etsy Shop of the Week: Digital Doodle Bug

Good afternoon everyone!  Today's post is going to have a little bit of everything.  I have a great shop to show you, a bottle of Model City Polish, and my week 3 nails.  First up the shop.

I have been using Digital Doodle Bug for sometime now and their service is awesome!  All of my labels I use come straight from here.  Ashley is really on top of things and is super quick at shipping out, which is great in a pinch.  Every order has been flawless.  She also offers many other unique label options that are great for advertising or party favors.  She is currently on vacation but will be opening shop back up on the 29th.  You can browse her sales history if you'd like an idea of what all she has to offer.

Now for my week 3 nails and a bottle of my own polish.  Week 3 is something inspire by Reddit and I was torn on what to share with you guys.  I finally decided on a bottle of my own polish.  How does this have anything to do with Reddit, you ask?  Well the lovely ladies over there is what inspired me to start creating my own polish line.  Teal Me Up is one of my first creations that I still love.

Teal Me Up is a teal colored base filled with teal colored fine glitter and black squares.  The teal base is transparent enough to show the black squares underneath but only take two coats for get full nail coverage.  It's a fun, funky polish the reminds me of all the awesome 80's tunes.

I love how the black square show through to the top layer.

The fine glitter adds a little extra sparkle.

So there you go.  I have now caught up with the 52 week challenge over on Reddit.  I look forward to trying out new stuff in the future.  This coming week is Gradient or Ombre nails, you know this one is going to consist of blues, haha!  I hope you all have an awesome day and look forward to seeing you again real soon.

Go Pink on Wednesday

Hello everyone!  Hope you have all been well.  Today I have another set of awesome pink nails for you guys.  I was never a big pink color fan but a few months back I received Julep Lauren in one of my Maven boxes and fell in love.  This pink is like no other pink I have ever seen before.  Lauren is a cream base and on the verge of being neon.  Application is perfect ever time and take just two coats to get solid coverage.

I love this color!

New photo angle for you guys.

Two coats and flawless

Next I decided to pair it with an Icing Duo that I had bought on clearance but yet to use.  Personally I hate the bottle.  Sometime I like to just place the brush on the bottle for various reasons but with this bottle it immediately falls over due to the weight.  Also if one side is stuck it is a pain to loosen because the other side easily spins.  This one also had a unpleasant odor.  All the negatives aside, I do like the polish itself.  The gold and pink glitter are very pretty and distribute wonderfully.  The pink side that I used is called Love Spell.

One coat and great coverage

The sparkle is a nice pop against this pink

This would be a great summer combo for the beach.

So there you guys go, another set of pink nails in the book.  I am having so much fun coming up with great pink combos for you guys and also checking out everyone else's pink nails.  I hope to take part in many more blogger challenges in the future.  I hope you all have a great day and look forward to seeing you guys again real soon.  Remember, you guys rock!

Week 2 Challenge: Blue

Good evening everyone.  Tonight I am showing you guys my week 2 challenge, blue.  I love blue and have just about every shade.  This week I received a lovely care package from my Redditgifts exchange and she bought me a ton of more blue polish!  I love blue and can find the slightest different between each one.  One of the colors she got me was Sinful Colors Cinderella.  I have been wanting this polish but every time I check my local Walgreens, they are sold out.  Thanks to her I finally have a bottle.  If you are lucky enough to find it, I would say buy it.  It is so pretty and the name suits it perfectly.  Cinderella is a super soft blue with the prettiest mother of pearl like shimmer to it.

Cinderella

Macro is a little blurry to show the pretty flakes

It did take me three coats to get full coverage.

Cinderella is very pretty on it's own but I wanted to add a little extra sparkle.  Julep Portia was the perfect companion.  Portia is a light blue tinted base with iridescent glitter.  Portia seemed like the perfect companion to Cinderella.

Portia

This just adds that extra sparkle.

Here is an extra pic to show off the glitter.

I love the iridescent glitter in Portia.

So there you go, a lovely blue to wear just about anywhere.  Hope to see you guys tomorrow for my Wednesday pink nails.  Until then have a great evening!

Etsy Shop of the Week: Vivid Lacquer

Good evening everyone!  Tonight I have another awesome shop to share with you guys.  The first thing that caught my eye at Vivid Lacquer is the super cute cat!  How stinkin cute is she?  Vivid Lacquer sells some pretty creative blends and nail stamping plates.  Tonight I have some of their polish for you guys.

First up, and my favorite, is Notebook Paper.  The name says it all!  It's packed with various white glitter, some gray glitter, and red squares.  Super fun polish that has endless possibilities.  I paired it with grey but have a few other colors I look forward to putting it over.

The dark gray makes the white and red pop but hid the gray glitter.

I love all the various sizes!

Next is Moonlit Cheshire.  I decided with this one to go with out undies.  Moonlit Cheshire is a purple jelly base with various purple, sliver, and black glitter.  The purple base was so pretty and I wanted to see how it would layer.  It took three good coats but the end results were a polish with a lot of depth.

The finish was a little chunky but nothing a few coats of clear couldn't smooth out.

I can't just can't get the sparkles in this one to show up in photo.

Lastly, we have Have Fun Storming the Castle, which is currently sold out.  This one is amazing!  The various glitters work so well with each other and the large glitter gives that extra oomph.  This one was very close to being my favorite out of the three but I thought I should let another color other than blue win one.  I paired this one over a shiny white base and they worked wonderful together.

I love all the glitter!

Again, gorgeous! Be sure to use the glue base with this one.

So there you go, another awesome shop and three beautiful blends.  Vivid Lacquer has a super awesome promo code for you guys that you can use until the 17th, so don't wait.  Use the code modelcity1014 and get 15% off your order.  I think I'll use that code to get me some more stamping plates.  Have a great evening everyone!

These were sent to me for review purposes but doesn't not influence my post in any way.
